Driving directions from the south and east (including anywhere in Toronto from Yonge St. east)-
- take the Don Valley Parkway north, continuing onto Hwy. 404;
- exit on Major MacKenzie Drive, heading west (left) (this is about 11 km north of Hwy. 401, 4 km north of Hwy. 7);
- go west on Major Mac to Bayview Avenue; turn right;
- go north on Bayview to South Taylor Mills Drive (3 traffic lights plus one more street); turn left;
- go west on S. Taylor Mills to Bluegrass Avenue (the second stop sign); turn right;
- go north on Bluegrass to Ashlar Road (the first stop sign); turn left;
- #242 is the third driveway on the left.
 

Driving directions from the south and west (including anywhere in Toronto from Yonge St. west)-
- take whatever route is most practical (Hwy. 400, Allen Expressway/Dufferin Ave., Bathurst St., Yonge St., etc.) up to Major MacKenzie Drive (about 4 km north of Hwy. 7); turn right;
- go east on Major Mac into Richmond Hill, past Yonge St., to Newkirk Drive (the second traffic light east of Yonge, just after you pass under the railway tracks); turn left;
- go north on Newkirk to South Taylor Mills Drive (3 traffic lights plus one more street); turn right;
- go east on S. Taylor Mills to Bluegrass Avenue (the first stop sign); turn left;
- go north on Bluegrass to Ashlar Road (the first stop sign); turn left;
- #242 is the third driveway on the left.
 

If driving from a longer distance away, it may be beneficial to take Hwy. 407, which is a toll road that runs east-west just north of Toronto but south of Richmond Hill (though the toll collection is electronic, drivers from outside Ontario are unfortunately not exempt!).
 

If travelling up from Toronto by public transit-
- take the Yonge St. subway to the top of the line, Finch;
- walk out of the subway into the underground passageway and turn right;
- if continuing by bus, go to the regional bus station and take York Region Transit Route 91 (Bayview; for schedules, see here; N.B., do not take Route 91A); ask the driver to let you off at North Taylor Mills and Ashlar; from the stop, walk along Ashlar past Bluegrass Ave. to #242 (about one block); the trip will take about 30 min.
- if being picked up from the Finch station by car, walk through the passageway to the west side of Yonge St. and emerge into the passenger pickup area (the round glass building).
 

The main airport in the area, Pearson International, is approximately 40 km away.  Unfortunately there is no public transit other than taxis - which cost about $60 - directly to Richmond Hill, although there are buses into downtown Toronto.
