Specialist operations can be performed on all woodwinds: restoration of antique instruments, repair of broken body parts, custom keywork, tuning, etc. S. Fox bells and barrels for any make of clarinet have been available on a custom basis for many years (though perhaps not as heavily promoted as the products of other makers!). The emphasis is on careful and innovative design, rather than fancy appearance or the gratuitous use of exotic materials. Adaptations for players with special needs, such as key extensions and support mechanisms for removing the strain from the right hand, are offered. Adjustment of tuning and normal complete overhauls are also offered.
